between being a spirit in human form...and a soul flowing into the next place. He has loved ones around him. I will continue to update.
I wanted to share something I read that gave me comfort as I have had to accept that our time here together on earth is short. It is from a friend's blog (her husband also has leukemia).
"Buddhists say that the miracle is not walking on water, but walking here, on earth. Right now, I feel that statement so intensely, that I get goose bumps when I think about it. Living for now and having each other now is what matters, and the fact that some do not get to live this miracle as long as others does not diminish their significance, and in many respects, I think it amplifies it. My Mom has been dead for almost 7 years, and the profound affect that she had on me and the rest of my family is felt every single day, and I'm absolutely certain that I feel her more strongly than I would if she were here in the flesh". Jamie Eckert (Respectfully Sassy blog)
Sigh. I'm going to marinate in that thought for a while...
much love- and thanks for all of the kind comments.

Amy and Glenn,
Your reflections, honesty, laughter and total devotion to each other have changed so many of us in our relationship with our mate. Truly to love someone so completely and to have that love returned is the most beautiful gift one can have. I know that Rich and I have come to value the most ordinary moments of the day when we are together since reading your blog. May God give you comfort and strength in the coming days.

With such deep pain comes such deep insight. It seems to make us take in our surroundings and appreciate those around us, and those who have left us, even more. Thank you for sharing that quote.

"The great use of life is to spend it all on something that outlasts it." Glenn has not been satisfied simply to achieve that-- he keeps on achieving it with every day, every hour, every minute he remains with us. And for that-- as much as to Amy and the kids-- we all owe him our thanks.

Amy,
Thank you for keeping us updated, for that we are eternally greatful. Marinate and feel those goosebumps we are all feeling for you. Here is a quote that reminds of you and Glenn and how you have remained strong through these difficult times through your love for each other.
“Only those who truly love and who are truly strong can sustain their lives as a dream. You dwell in your own enchantment. Life throws stones at you, but your love and your dream change those stones into the flowers of discovery. Even if you lose, or are defeated by things, your triumph will always be exemplary. And if no one knows it, then there are places that do. People like you enrich the dreams of the worlds, and it is dreams that create history. People like you are unknowing transformers of things, protected by your own fairy-tale, by love.”

Though this quote was intended in a "political" setting, we think it describes so beautifully the love shared by you two. Glenn, Amy, in our eyes, you have taken the stones, no ROCKS, that life has thrown at you and turned them into flowers of discovery, love and passion. Through your journey, you have transformed lives by example and your love has triumphed. We are proud to be your friends and please know that we are always there for you. Love and hugs, TIGHT HUGS, from Frisco to the entire Gleason family.
